L-3 E-Mail Monitoring Claims Spur Shareholder Suit

Law360, New York (July 16, 2010, 6:52 PM EDT) -- L-3 Communications Holdings Inc. has been hit with a derivative suit alleging the company's board of directors breached its fiduciary duties by allowing the defense contractor to illegally monitor the e-mail of government employees and military personnel.

The suit was filed Thursday in the Supreme Court of the State of New York for the County of New York by the New Jersey Building Laborers Pension Fund, which owns L-3 stock.
