2nd Circ. Halts NYC's Plan To Promote Hybrid Taxis

Law360, New York (July 28, 2010, 1:36 PM EDT) -- Dealing a blow to New York's plan to reduce vehicle emissions from its taxi fleet, a federal appeals court has upheld a preliminary injunction that bars the city from enforcing revisions to taxi lease rates that would have given fleet owners an incentive to purchase more fuel-efficient vehicles.
