Levi's, Revise Spar Over Jeans Pocket Designs

Law360, New York (August 4, 2010, 4:46 PM EDT) -- Jeans maker Revise Clothing Inc. has filed a declaratory judgment suit against Levi Strauss & Co., seeking a ruling that a stitching design on the pockets of its Vanilla Star line does not infringe a trademarked Levi's design.

The suit, filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York by Gordon E.R. Troy of Gordon E.R. Troy PC on behalf of Revise, contends that Levi's has threatened to sue the plaintiff for infringing the so-called Arcuate marks found on the pockets...
