Akin Gump Says Stanford Filed Request To Distract Firm

Law360, New York (August 16, 2010, 2:41 PM EDT) -- Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP has asked a federal court to shoot down a subpoena Robert Allen Stanford filed against it, saying the accused Ponzi schemer is trying to distract the firm as it represents his directors and officers liability insurers in litigation against him.
