Class Certified In Century 21 Franchisee Contract Feud

Law360, New York (August 19, 2010, 6:10 PM EDT) -- A New Jersey court has granted nationwide class certification to a group of Century 21 Real Estate Corp. franchisees accusing their parent company of breaching a contract by diverting Century 21 advertising funds to competitors.

Judge Robert J. Brennan granted an order from his New Jersey Superior Court bench on Tuesday certifying a class that will include all franchisees between August 1995 and April 2002 whose franchise agreements contained New Jersey choice-of-law clauses.
