Innkeepers Confidentiality Requests Too Broad: Judge

Law360, New York (August 30, 2010, 6:54 PM EDT) -- A judge admonished parties in the bankruptcy of hotel owner Innkeepers USA Trust on Monday for seeking confidentiality for an abundance of documents, asking lawyers to narrow their requests so as not to interfere with public hearings in the case.

Judge Shelley C. Chapman of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York directed Innkeepers’ lawyers to specifically identify items that should remain out of public view in advance of hearings later this week on the appointment of an examiner, among other issues....
