Adelphia Still Wrangling With Disney Over $210M Bill

Law360 (February 22, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Adelphia Communications Corp. may have recently emerged from bankruptcy protection, but the fighting over the distribution of the cable provider’s assets is far from over.

On Friday, Adelphia filed a preliminary objection in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, trying to fend off attempts by Walt Disney Corp. to wring $210 million out of Adelphia for “lost future profits.”

Adelphia has begun to distribute the $15 billion in proceeds from the July sale of its cable business to Time Warner Inc....
