Coastal Maritime Gets 2nd Shot At $25M Army Contract

Law360, New York (September 8, 2010, 5:35 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has given Coastal Maritime LLC another shot at a $25 million stevedore contract with the U.S. Army despite objections from Ceres Gulf Inc., which thought it had won the bid.

In a decision unsealed Tuesday, Judge Thomas C. Wheeler of the U.S. Court of Federal Claims upheld the contracting officer's decision to reopen the bidding process to allay Coastal's concerns about the fairness of the bidding process.
