Cleary is a partner in the New York office of Proskauer Rose LLP and is co-chair of the firm's litigation and dispute resolution department and head of the corporate defense and investigations group. He previously served as a federal prosecutor, including service as the U.S. attorney in New Jersey and Southern Illinois.
Before being appointed U.S. attorney, Cleary was the lead prosecutor in the Unabomber case, United States v. Theodore J. Kaczynski.
