Senate OKs Multiyear Boeing Fighter Contracts

Law360, New York (September 17, 2010, 2:35 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Senate has approved legislation authorizing the Navy to expand its fleets of three different types of fighter aircraft, opening the door for new multiyear contracts with Boeing Co.

In a unanimous vote Thursday, the Senate passed S. 3782 without amendments, allowing Navy Secretary Ray Mabus to sign contracts to procure Boeing-made F/A-18E, F/A-18F and EA-18G aircraft.
