Port Authority, US Fire Settle WTC Coverage Fight

Law360, New York (September 20, 2010, 3:19 PM EDT) -- The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has settled its dispute with U.S. Fire Insurance Co. over coverage for the destruction of the World Trade Center, resolving the last of the transit agency's consolidated suits with insurers arising from the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Judge Barbara S. Jones of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York signed off on the joint dismissal Friday after the two sides said they had reached a settlement in the long-running case.
