BSkyB Offers Free Channels To Virgin In Media Fight

Law360, New York (February 28, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- British Sky Broadcasting Group offered a solution to its current squabble with Virgin Media on Tuesday, proposing that it offer basic channels, such as Sky One and Sky Sports News to Virgin customers at no cost.

Virgin Media, owned by British media mogul Richard Branson, and BSkyB, owned by News Corp. billionaire Rupert Murdoch, have been deadlocked in a bitter fight over subscription charges.
