Judge Removes Plaintiff In NYSE Specialists Suit

Law360, New York (February 28, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Under pressure, a federal judge has decided to dump Empire Programs Inc. as a co-lead plaintiff in a class action securities litigation case involving fraudulent trading schemes at the New York Stock Exchange.

On Monday, U.S. District Judge Robert Sweet granted the motion of purported plaintiff class member Sea Carriers Corp. to “decertify” Empire Programs Inc. as one of the two entities at the forefront of the dispute.
