Ex-Lobbyist Pleads Guilty In Straw Donor Scandal

Law360, New York (September 24, 2010, 6:17 PM EDT) -- Former defense lobbyist Paul J. Magliocchetti copped a plea Friday to charges that he used associates as channels to make nearly $400,000 in illegal campaign contributions, and prosecutors agreed to drop most of the case.

Magliocchetti entered his plea in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, marking a milestone in the collapse of his lobbying firm PMA Group Inc., which once counted General Dynamics Corp. and Lockheed Martin Corp. among its clients.
