Judge Closes Door On Waldorf Tip-Skimming Action

Law360, New York (September 27, 2010, 3:35 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has dismissed a putative class action accusing the Hilton Worldwide Inc.-owned Waldorf-Astoria of skimming gratuities intended for waitstaff at the landmark New York hotel's private dining events.

Judge Richard J. Holwell of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Wednesday signed a stipulation of dismissal without prejudice, noting that both parties had agreed to pay their own costs.
