Motorola Claims Apple Infringed 18 Patents

Law360, New York (October 6, 2010, 7:07 PM EDT) -- A Motorola Inc. subsidiary on Wednesday filed complaints with the U.S. International Trade Commission and two district courts alleging that technology found in many of Apple Inc.'s core products infringes on a combined 18 of its patents covering wireless and smartphone technologies.

Motorola Mobility Inc. filed a complaint with the ITC requesting an investigation into Apple's use of Motorla's patents, in addition to patent infringement complaints with the U.S. District Courts in the Northern District of Illinois and the Southern District of Florida.
