Power Equipment Co. Loses Protest Of $17M Navy Deal

Law360, New York (October 7, 2010, 4:12 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has dismissed an Illinois power equipment manufacturer's suit against the federal government over a $16.9 million contract for mobile load banks that the U.S. Navy awarded to a rival company.

In a order issued Wednesday in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, Judge Eric G. Bruggink denied a motion for judgment on the administrative record by plaintiff Essex Electro Engineers Inc. and granted motions for dismissal by the U.S. and bid-winner Aviation Ground Equipment Corp.
