New DataTern IP Suit Targets Aflac, Lilly, Others

Law360, New York (October 8, 2010, 1:57 PM EDT) -- DataTern Inc. has filed another infringement suit over its oft-litigated relational database patents, this time going after a broad array of companies including Eli Lilly & Co., Aflac Inc., Volkswagen Group of America Inc. and Walgreen Co.

The complaint, filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, also names Hitachi Consulting Corp., Iron Mountain Inc., Infosys Technologies Ltd. and Newell Rubbermaid Inc. as defendants.
