WMS Sues Bally Over Slot Machine Display Patents

Law360, New York (October 18, 2010, 2:10 PM EDT) -- WMS Gaming Inc. has brought a patent infringement suit against Bally Gaming Inc., arguing that the defendant incorporates protected transmissive reels technology — which relates to superimposing video content over a mechanical reel slot machine — in several products.

WMS, which bills itself as a leading innovator of electronic gaming entertainment, filed suit against its rival Saturday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
