Raytheon Inks $2M Settlement In Overtime Action

Law360 (October 25, 2010, 5:28 PM EDT) -- Raytheon Co. has agreed to pay up to $2 million to settle a class action alleging the defense contractor failed to pay overtime to software engineers in violation of California state law.

Judge Larry Alan Burns of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California on Friday granted preliminary approval to the settlement. A class was certified in the case in January consisting of all California-based software engineers employed by Raytheon from May 2004 to the present.

The suit was filed in California state court in May 2008 and was removed to federal court in March of this year....
