Direct Purchaser Attys Net $9M In DRAM Settlements

Law360, New York (October 28, 2010, 5:51 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has agreed to award $9.3 million in attorneys’ fees and reimbursement expenses to class counsel for direct purchasers in the multidistrict litigation over alleged price-fixing in the dynamic random access memory market.

Judge Phyllis Hamilton of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Wednesday granted requests for a 25 percent cut of $37.2 million in settlements the plaintiffs’ attorneys have secured with Mitsubishi Electric Corp., Hitachi Ltd. and Toshiba Corp.
