Finance Groups Dispute Northwest Disclosure Order

Law360, New York (March 16, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Two trade groups that include Wall Street’s largest financial services firms as members have urged a judge overseeing Northwest Airlines Corp.’s Chapter 11 case to withdraw his order requiring hedge funds to reveal trading information, saying it poses “serious” problems for bankruptcy reorganizations.

The Loan Syndications and Trading Association and the Securities Industry and Financial markets Association asked the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York on Thursday to scrap the decision.
