Netscape, Insurer Set For Trial Over Privacy Suits

Law360, New York (November 5, 2010, 4:04 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has refused to throw out a bad faith claim levied by Netscape Communications Corp. and its parent American Online Inc. against an insurer, prepping the case for a trial over coverage for four class actions related to consumer privacy.

Judge James Ware of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California denied St. Paul Mercury Insurance Co.'s motion for summary judgment on Thursday. St. Paul is an affiliate of Travelers Insurance Cos. Inc.
