9th Circ. Says Insurer Must Share Costs In NFL Suit

Law360, New York (November 8, 2010, 5:48 PM EST) -- A federal appeals court has affirmed a ruling that Colony Insurance Co. must pay its portion of costs in a dispute over defense coverage for a company accused of selling knock-off National Football League jerseys.

A three-judge panel in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit on Friday rejected Colony's arguments, finding that the insurer had to reimburse Hudson Insurance Co. for part of the $900,000 cost of defending All Authentic Corp. in the NFL's lawsuit.
