Law360 (November 8, 2010, 3:01 PM EST) -- A judge has approved a $2.9 million settlement between Kaiser Foundation Health Plan Inc. and two classes of information technology employees who alleged that the company improperly classified them as exempt from overtime pay.
Judge Larry Alan Burns of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California on Friday ordered final approval of the settlement between Kaiser and approximately 500 employees who worked as analysts or business application coordinators from 2005 to 2009, calling the agreement “fair and appropriate.”
