Western Titanium Subpoenas Quashed

Law360, New York (November 8, 2010, 7:00 PM EST) -- A federal judge in Western Titanium Inc.'s military contracting fraud trial has agreed to quash a series of subpoenas obtained by the metal supplier for a range of documents, saying they constitute a “fishing expedition.”

Judge Janis Sammartino of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California argued in an order Thursday that Western Titanium’s subpoenas seeking some eight years worth of documents from four nonparty companies were overbroad and otherwise irrelevant.
