Western Titanium Says Gov't Exhibits Are Irrelevant

Law360, New York (November 9, 2010, 12:21 PM EST) -- Western Titanium Inc., the metal distributor accused of military contracting fraud, is fighting attempts by prosecutors to use evidence during trial that defense attorneys say has nothing to do with allegations in the case.

In a brief lodged Monday, Western Titanium’s lawyers told the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California that at least three dozen exhibits the government has proposed to use during witness testimony would “only further confuse the issues and venture into unnecessary side-trials.”
