Chemtura To Pay $3M For Cleanup Of Calif. Sites

Law360, New York (November 10, 2010, 2:20 PM EST) -- A judge has approved settlements totaling over $3 million to resolve pollution cleanup claims brought by the California Department of Toxic Substance Control against bankrupt Chemtura Corp. and its affiliates.

Judge Robert E. Gerber of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York approved the settlements in a Tuesday order, ending seven claims related to three polluted sites, including a small contribution to a federal Superfund site.
