Pfizer Fights Whistleblower Retaliation Suit In 2nd Circ.

Law360, New York (November 10, 2010, 6:14 PM EST) -- A former Pharmacia Inc. executive's retaliation suit against Pfizer Inc. alleging the drugmaker fired him for bringing a qui tam complaint is viable only if statements he made to Pfizer executives before the close of the companies' merger constituted notice of a whistleblower action, a federal appeals court was told Wednesday.
