Former Con Ed Manager Cops To $800K Bribe Scheme

Law360, New York (November 19, 2010, 5:03 PM EST) -- A former manager at energy provider Consolidated Edison Inc. pled guilty on Friday to criminal charges of accepting more than $800,000 in supply contract kickbacks.

Edison, N.J., resident James M. Woodason entered a guilty plea in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, admitting he accepted or agreed to accept about $807,000 in exchange for steering contracts to two of the company's industrial pipe supply vendors, the U.S. Department of Justice announced.
