Heller Ehrman Sues 22 Firms Over Business Transfers

Law360, New York (December 1, 2010, 7:06 PM EST) -- Bankrupt law firm Heller Ehrman LLP's liquidation vehicle has lodged adversary suits against 22 other law firms, alleging they received improper transfers of business when hiring former Heller Ehrman attorneys who left when the firm went belly-up.

Trepel McGrane Greenfield LLP's Christopher D. Sullivan lodged the Heller Ehrman liquidating debtor's suits in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of California on Monday and Tuesday, targeting firms including Arnold Porter LLP, Baker & McKenzie LLP, Bingham McCutchen LLP and Dechert LLP.
