Salinger Estate Gets 'Catcher' Sequel Blocked

Law360, New York (December 15, 2010, 2:01 PM EST) -- A federal judge has permanently barred the publication of a purported unauthorized sequel to J.D. Salinger's "The Catcher in the Rye" and dismissed an infringement lawsuit lodged by the heirs of the late author.

With an order filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, Judge Deborah A.
