Olive Garden Owner Settles Wage-And-Hour Claim

Law360, New York (March 29, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Darden Restaurants Inc., the owner of Red Lobster and Olive Garden, disclosed Thursday that it has settled with a group of former employees who sought unpaid overtime wages and penalties.

In a quarterly report filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Darden said it would pay up to $11 million to settle five class action lawsuits in the California court system. The company added that it agreed to the settlement in fiscal year 2006, and that it recently received final court approval.
