Louis Vuitton Scores ITC Probe Of Handbag Importers

Law360 (January 3, 2011, 6:30 PM EST) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has launched an investigation of claims by Louis Vuitton Malletier SA that a dozen companies and two individuals are infringing on its famous Toile Monogram trademarks.

The ITC announced the probe Wednesday, three weeks after the French luxury goods maker and its U.S. manufacturing unit filed an amended complaint claiming violations of Section 337 of the Tariff Act and seeking cease-and-desist orders against the 14 alleged infringers.
