Bovis To Pay $5M To Bury NYC Overcharge Claims

Law360, New York (January 6, 2011, 2:02 PM EST) -- Construction management company Bovis Lend Lease LMB Inc. has agreed to pay New York $5 million to settle allegations that it overcharged the city on scores of construction projects over the past decade.

The New York City Department of Investigation analyzed records and practices applicable to more than 100 city-funded projects Bovis managed between 1999 and 2009, and found it had paid foremen overtime and extra pay for which they had not earned before passing those expenses off to the city, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg...
