WaMu Investors Win Class Cert.

Law360, New York (January 7, 2011, 5:16 PM EST) -- A federal judge has granted class certification to investors in a securities fraud suit accusing former Washington Mutual Inc. executives of making misleading statements about the company's ability to turn a profit on its mortgage-lending business.

Judge John C. Coughenour granted in part and denied in part the investors' motion for class certification in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington on Thursday, setting the class to include all investors who purchased WaMu common stock from April 15, 2003, through June 28, 2004....
