CVS To Pay $1M To Bury Banned Pharmacist Case

Law360, New York (January 10, 2011, 6:43 PM EST) -- CVS Caremark Corp. has agreed to pay nearly $1 million to settle allegations that it employed a pharmacist who had been banned from participating in federal health care programs due to a drug conviction.

U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman of the District of New Jersey said in a statement on Monday that the settlement with CVS precluded the need to file a lawsuit against the company.
