Wendy's Mulls Sale Of Low-Revenue Arby's Chain

Law360, New York (January 20, 2011, 2:07 PM EST) -- Wendy's/Arby's Group Inc., the third-largest U.S. fast food company, said Thursday it was considering selling off its less successful Arby's Restaurant Group Inc. in a move that would trim the number of the company's stores by more than a third.

The Atlanta area-based company announced that it was "exploring strategic alternatives" for Arby's, including a sale of the entire brand and its 3,700 roast beef sandwich shops. System-wide, the Wendy's chain had sales of $9 billion in 2009, while Arby's saw sales of just $3.1 billion....
