Calif. Man Cleared Of Exporting US Army Gear To Yemen

Law360, New York (February 3, 2011, 2:42 PM EST) -- A federal jury has cleared a California man of charges that he helped illegally export bulletproof vests and other stolen U.S. Army goods to Yemen.

A federal jury in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California on Tuesday found Ibrahim A. Omer not guilty of gathering defense information, attempted unlawful export of defense articles, possession of stolen government property and conspiracy to act as a foreign agent.
