Contractor Testifies In Kuwait Base Corruption Probe

Law360, New York (February 7, 2011, 7:29 PM EST) -- A government witness has testified that former U.S. Army contracting officer Maj. Eddie Pressley demanded $50,000 from him in exchange for securing a roughly $10 million contract to provide water bottles to troops in Iraq and Kuwait.

Contractor Terry Hall told jurors he had won a blanket contract to provide the water bottles at a high profit margin, but when no individual orders came in under the contract, he called Pressley, the contract specialist who was stationed in Kuwait, according to the Huntsville Times.
