Class Says L'Oreal Peddles Flammable Fructis Product

Law360 (February 8, 2011, 12:52 PM EST) -- L’Oreal USA Inc. is facing a putative class action alleging its Garnier Fructis leave-in hair styling product is extremely flammable and that the company failed to warn consumers that the item is dangerous when used with heat styling tools.

Grace E. Parasmo of KamberLaw LLC lodged the suit in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Friday, hitting L’Oreal with claims of breach of implied warranty of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose under federal and California law.
