JPML Won't Combine Boehringer Sales Reps' OT Suits

Law360, New York (February 8, 2011, 8:32 PM EST) -- A judicial panel has refused to consolidate four wage-and-hour putative class actions currently pending in separate states accusing Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals Inc. of denying its pharmaceutical sales representatives proper overtime.

The U.S Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation denied a request made by the plaintiffs in three of these actions for centralization of the cases in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut on Friday, ruling that this relief was “not necessary to ensure the just and efficient conduct” of the suits.
