Shareholder Sues Aegean Over Post-Merger Problems

Law360, New York (February 11, 2011, 2:25 PM EST) -- A shareholder has lodged a putative class action against marine fuel supplier Aegean Marine Petroleum Network Inc. accusing it of misleading investors about its financial health following a merger with Belgian firm Verbeke Bunkering NV.

Paul Kokkinis filed suit against the company and three of its top executives in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Wednesday, seeking damages for a drop in the company's share value when news of its troubles came to light.
