Delta Says Reorganization Vote Was Successful

Law360, New York (April 16, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Unofficial results show that 95% of creditors are in favor of Delta Air Lines’ reorganization plan, the bankrupt air carrier said Monday.

The move paves the way for the airline to exit Chapter 11 protection later this month, as it has been planning.

While the official results won’t be filed in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York until later this week, Delta said that creditors also voted in similar numbers for the reorganization plan of its wholly owned subsidiary, Comair. Voting...
