Motorola Told To Pay $23M In Legal Fees

Law360 (April 20, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A high-profile Florida lawyer who sought $93 million in legal fees from Motorola Inc. in a trade secrets lawsuit has been awarded a significantly lower figure that still amounts to more than $1,000 per hour.

In a ruling issued April 19, Circuit Judge Leroy Moe awarded $22.9 million to lawyer Willie E. Gary for his work representing a defunct technology firm that accused Motorola of stealing vehicle tracking technology.
