Court Awards Firms $29.4M in Delta Bankuptcy

Law360 (April 20, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A judge has granted Delta Air Lines Inc. approval to pay $29.4 million in fees and expenses to two dozen lawyers, consultants and advisors in its bankruptcy case.

Judge Adlai Hardin of Manhattan bankruptcy court signed the order Thursday granting applications by 24 firms for compensation for services to the airline over a four-month period.

The $29.4 million bill, which faced no objection by U.S. Trustee Greg Zipes, represents the fees earned and expenses incurred by the firms from Oct. 1, 2006 to Jan. 31, 2007....
