Making Interstate Discovery Easier In NY

Law360 (March 15, 2011, 3:32 PM EDT) -- New York recently adopted CPLR 3119,[1] which is its own version of the Uniform Interstate Deposition and Discovery Act. This new rule will make it easier to issue a subpoena for discovery (including documents and depositions) in New York for use in a court action in another state, and continues a trend in favor of easier interstate discovery in both the state court and federal court systems.
