Contractor Quickly Drops Suit Against State Dept.

Law360, New York (March 15, 2011, 7:03 PM EDT) -- A defense contractor on Tuesday dropped a day-old suit seeking to prevent the U.S. government from kicking it off a $10 billion protection program, just hours after a federal judge denied its bid for an emergency injunction and restraining order.

Torres Advanced Enterprise Solutions LLC dismissed without prejudice a suit it filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia against the U.S. Department of State, which alleged the agency mishandled contract disputes and improperly threatened to scrub it from a worldwide protection...
