Mont. Orders AG To Join Health Care Reform Challenge

Law360, New York (March 17, 2011, 12:21 PM EDT) -- The Montana Legislature passed a bill Wednesday that will require the state's attorney general to join a slew of states challenging the constitutionality of the federal health care reform law in the Eleventh Circuit.

The Montana House of Representatives approved the legislation Wednesday by a 65-30 vote, while the state Senate approved it in January by a 28-22 vote. It now goes to Democratic Gov. Brian Schweitzer, who has not yet indicated whether he will sign it into law.
