Stanford Drops Suit Against US Officials

Law360, New York (March 24, 2011, 4:35 PM EDT) -- Indicted financier Robert Allen Stanford on Monday dropped a $7.2 billion Texas suit accusing civil and criminal prosecutors of violating his constitutional rights.

Judge Ewing Werlein Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas dismissed Stanford's claims against 12 government lawyers and FBI agents, including Assistant U.S. Attorney Gregg Costa and five U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission agents.
